I woke up in the morning and it looked like it was going to be a really nice day, so I decided to go with Tim and our friend Rick to the beach. Nainoa, of course, came too. I knew it would be ok because the weather woman in the morning said it was going to be a fabulous day. I'm so happy I went. The water was freezing, my wetsuit was getting water in it, and with my first wave I felt so alive! Wet suits are really confining if you're not used to them, and I'm not. My whole body was stiff, and cold I knew I wouldn't last long. Today was such a good day.
So now Nainoa and I are cruisin' at home while Tim is at training. Going to give the little king a bath and then put him down for the night.
He's such a funny little boy. He really enjoyed being at the beach and didn't waste anytime getting the sand into his mouth. He crawled and rolled around on the sand, and even got to take a nap in his dad's arms while I was in the water. Sometimes when people walked past us he would raise both arms and say, "heeeeeey" and try to get their attention.
He's still sleeping through the night and has only woken up a few times in the early morning, but he usually has a short cry, not even a minute, and then he's back asleep. He's been trying table food too. I've given him a little bit of bread, and small pieces of chicken. He's been exploring his voice lately and yelling really loud when he's in his high chair. He yells especially loud when he doesn't like the food I'm feeding him.
He's escaping from his little fenced off area and it's time to take a bath. He's turning into such a little boy, and is hardly a baby anymore.
I feel like this. If you have never seen it you NEED to watch it!
